Digital Nomad Visas: Greece

working from greece

As exciting and entertaining as my lifestyle of constantly flitting from place to place can be, it can definitely be tiring, as well. This year, I worked to extend most of my stays to around 8 weeks, which was a much needed change of pace.

I am looking to slow things down even further next year with a stay of around 6 months in one location. Therefore, I am on the hunt for locations that have ‘digital nomad visas’ or a similar option. Specifically, I am looking for tax-advantaged visas, and I thought I’d share what I find. First up, Greece! First, here is a breakdown of the major details and considerations for obtaining a digital nomad visa in Greece.

My Initial Thoughts

This is looking like a pretty good option for me. Greece is beautiful, the food is delicious, and many cities have good amenities for day-to-day living while still being affordable. I’ve already worked successfully from several, even remote, locations, so I am confident about the internet connectivity. Having been there during June this past year, I would want to avoid the heat and family crowds of the summer months, though. Another consideration is that if I stay in Athens it is very well-connected to other airports throughout Europe and the middle east. This gives me a lot of options for easily exploring other countries on shorter trips during my stay.
